Been eating here for years (and at old spot before the fire). 5 * because their sushi is awesome, after living in Japan for 6 years this was furst spot that served a great sushi boat with excellent sashimi. Always awesome service

We had lunch here today and it was delicious! The prices were really good and our waiter was very nice! He suggested a lemon shandy which I have never had before and it was a great call. Love it!

Not good. Pork and vegetables was battered, deep fried mostly fat and breading smothered in sauce. Egg roll was greasy and filling was old. I normally don't give out 1 star but, they didn't even have hot tea!

Great food! Glad they moved here from the old location. Our server was great, really fast and very friendly. Lettuce wraps rival PF Changs! Sushi was well presented and very good as well. Finally cashew chicken was delicious :-p

The shrimp Pad Thai is EXCELLENT! Orange chicken had a good kick of spice. Sashimi Delux/rainbow roll delicious and fresh as always. The staff remembers my family and is always very friendly and personable. Great restaurant in this area.

It's my third time here and I'm still loving it! The crab rangoon is so delicious and I always get the Peking duck. Service here is great too.

Options are limited here in Charles Town, but website isn't accurate. They don't deliver.

Glad this place is open again. Great carry out food. It's a little bit pricey for Chinese, but it's much better than any other Chinese you can get in the area. These reviews are a bit critical I think. Don't expect 5 star dining here but it's a step above your average Chinese joint. We've never had bad food here.

I was really hoping for a good chinese restaurant experience unfortunately it was not delivered. The interior is very nice and well done. The service was okay. The girl seemed inexperienced and didn't know the beers on tap or the ingredients in menu items. The egg drop soup was the consistency of pudding. The sesame chicken was mainly batter and didnt have the flavor I was hoping for. The crab rangoon was good very cheesy. The fried dumplings were very doughy. The Blue Moon beer tasted like iron. Maybe there was something wrong with the tap. My husbands food was brought out well before mine and the appetizer came when I got my meal. I am disappointed and will not be returning.

I have now been back 3 times and have consistently gotten good food. I have never had a problem with service during lunch time. I work from home and have very little time for lunch, so it is awesome the speed in which you get your food. While the food is really good, it's the prices that shine. At lunch we are talking fast food prices for gourmet meals. Like I have said in check-ins, this is our go to place for Chinese food in the area.

Their food was terrible. My husband ordered two chicken dishes and they were both under cooked. The chicken satay was raw. They asked if we wanted to order another one and honestly we weren't even hungry any more.

My wife and I really enjoy this place. The sushi is good and fresh. Main dishes are great, and the lunch deals can't be beat.

These guys need to realize they are not running a takeout restaurant and people expect better quality. My wife ordered General Tso's Chicken and it had absolutely no flavor. I ordered the Szechuan Crispy duck and it was ok. We will not visit there again. I believe I could cook better Chinese food at home.

Been searching for decent general Tso's chicken in the area, and finally tried China Palace at my neighbors suggestion. Quite good. It had just a bit of heat although I like it a little spicier than most in this area so could've used more. The shrimp fried rice was excellent, decent sized. The portions they provide are very generous. Spring rolls were just ok. Staff very friendly but I only picked up.

I guess I was crazy expecting halfway decent Chinese food in West Virginia. The tea tasted like feet and the food was only slightly better than that. The restaurant really gives you the illusion that you are in China - rude and uncaring service. I would have gotten more respect as a customer eating at Waffle House.

Good Chinese for the area. The owners appear to be friendly and try to be accomodating. Like I say about these americanized chinese places, make the food like you would at home, it would be so much better. My biggest complaint is that they do not use good rice.

I come here almost once a week, the servers are always very nice and even remember me, my family, and friends...and also what we usually order (so they're pretty attentive and hard working!). I mostly love coming here for lunch, good portions, good price, and I love the lunch time beef with brocolli. Lunch time prices are great cuz for under $9 after tax you get a cup of soup, main course with fried rice, a big egg roll, the table crunchy noodles, and drink. Crunchy noodles and sauce are always nice to snack-on and they always have these fresh on the table while you order. Sometimes the food does seem slightly better than others but regardless I still come back here. I've been to probably every Chinese restaurant in Charles Town and this is definitely the best one.

This is our go to for Chinese dinner. Your typical Chinese food and the service is friendly. The Sushi is also decent. They have a nice bar that no one is ever at and I have always wanted to sit at. Maybe next time!

My wife and I stopped in for dinner last night on the way home from Dulles Airport, and it was the perfect welcome home. We split the fried dumplings (which were good) and fried chicken wings (which were just OK), while I had the Szechuan crispy beef entree, and my wife had the triple delight. I always try the Szechuan crispy beef at restaurants, and am often disappointed. Either it gets served soggy, or so crispy as to be like burnt wire. So I consider it to be a good dish to judge whether a Chinese restaurant knows what it's doing. They always do a good job of it here. China Fortune is our favorite of the Chinese restaurants in Charles Town, and the only one we bother with anymore when there. If we know we'll be coming back from Dulles around dinner time, we always make a point of stopping here.

This place is bad even by Americanized Chinese standards. We ordered 4 dishes for takeout: Family bean curd, Combination egg foo young, Combination chow mein, Crispy beef and Combination sizziling rice soup. The only dish that was remotely acceptable was the Crispy beef dish. With the exception of the Crispy beef dish, none of the dishes had any flavor whatsoever we had to put Maggi sauce on everything. The egg foo young gravy had solidified into jello by the time we got it home and it was barely 15 minutes after we picked up our order from the restaurant (we had waited about 5 mins inside the restaurant for our order so it wasn't like it had been sitting there and had time to cool). The sizziling rice had no flavor and we recieved only a partial handful of crushed rice similar to loose Rice Krispies. The funniest/irritating part of our order was the chow mein didn't come with any noodles. What kind of chow mein dish doesn't come with noodles, i mean isn't that the essence of the dish??? We called them back and they said it doesn't come with noodle. Unbelievable... Will not be back!!!

We live down street & decided to try it out. It doesn't compare to Shu Chen's at all. I'm a pretty picky eater though but I wasn't impressed.

I think the food is pretty tasty here and is excellently priced. Their happy hour drinks are only about $1.50 to $3 and their lunch menu gives you a ton of food for less than $10. This place is usually not crowded despite the fact that their food is very good and cheap.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
